Diana Cherry Memorial Bursary 

Granted for the first time in the 2026-2027 academic cycle, this bursary is awarded to a female undergraduate or graduate student registered in any year and program at Wilfrid Laurier University who has persevered through a personal obstacle and demonstrated financial need. The current bursary is $2,000.

This bursary was set up by the Cherry family in memory of their wife and mother, whose empathy and caring nature supported women overcoming challenges. Diana obtained a Bachelor of Arts and Diploma of Education from the University of Melbourne and a Master of Education from the University of Windsor. Diana was a Life Member and past president of the Canadian Federation of University Women, Kitchener-Waterloo (CFUW K-W).

Diana’s social engagement and volunteer work contributed to the club and community at large.

The fund is supported by the Cherry family to assist students who persevere through personal challenges.
